Ajay James, an emigrant from Trinidad and Tobago, has always been a driven, adaptable, and relentless hustler. From club promoter and hardcore punk rock singer to top 10 black male model and semi-pro 

Muay Thai fighter. 

Ajay helped build NYC’s first accredited Muay Thai gym before pivoting to a 20-year career as a 

U.S. Navy SEAL. He additionally served as a Team Leader and later as a Senior Enlisted Advisor of career professional development and training before retiring in 2021. Ajay has since brought his experience to brands like Alo Moves and Shoyoroll and to the entertainment world in SEAL Team, The Terminal List, and the Call of Duty franchise.

As a long-time martial artist, world traveler, Honor Foundation alumnus, and Beyond the Brotherhood Fellow, Ajay brings grit and polish to TEAMS MMA, shaping its identity from the inside out.
